About this course

This course is for registered Plumbers and Gasfitters who wish to be licensed to carry out prescribed electrical work, such as water heater installation and waste disposal servicing. This 5-day course has a strong focus on practical learning, along with online theory modules. The online modules cover all the electrical theory knowledge required in the Associated Tradesperson examination.

By the end of course you will have completed the practical assessment required by the EWRB, attained the required safety training, and be ready to sit your exam, before being licensed by the EWRB. Once you have gained your accredited license from the EWRB, you will be qualified to perform prescribed electrical work relating to water heating, waste disposal units and water pressure devices. This will include the connection/disconnection of fittings to or from a power supply, other than by means of a plug or pin inserted into a socket, or an appliance connector inserted into an appliance inlet, provided that the electrical rating is not greater than 250 volts.
