About this course

This course covers what you need to renew your practising licence for Electricians, Electrical Installers and Electrical Engineers.

Get up to speed with the latest requirements and keep your licence current. We cover all Endorsed Licences including Supervision, Medical Cardiac Protected Areas, Hazardous Areas, Mains Parallel Generation Systems and Mining Operations. If you hold an endorsed licence, you'll stay for an extra hour to complete your specific assessment.

Course format and requirements

Complete an EWRB e-learning module first, then attend our 1-day course. Various times are available.

Who this course is for

Electricians, electrical apprentices and electrical workers who need to renew their practicing licence with the EWRB.

What you will learn

  • Updates and changes to electrical legislation
  • First Aid and CPR refresher training
  • Supervision of trainees
  • Earthing requirements (AS/NZS 3000:2007)
  • Residual current devices - purpose, usage and testing
  • Prospective short circuit currents
  • Testing requirements (AS/NZS 3000:2007, AS/NZS 3760:2010 & Electricity Safety Regulations)
  • Current issues the EWRB wants you to know about
  • Content may change as required to reflect requirements of training guidelines issued by the Electrical Workers Registration Board.
