A new course for registered electrical workers: Supervision of Prescribed Electrical Work

Skills Trades Training has launched a short course to help registered electrical workers obtain their EWRB Supervision endorsement, which is a requirement in order to supervise more than two people in the workplace

The course combines four self-directed online modules with a one-day workshop at a Skills Trades Training campus, followed by a Supervision Evidence Portfolio built from the learner's own on-job supervision.

It suits registered electrical workers with a current practicing license who are leading hands, site supervisors or are responsible for trainees on Limited Certificates.

Director of Skills Trades Training, Di Lithgow, says the course meets a clear need in the industry. "As more experienced workers step into supervision, they need to know the requirements inside out, not just carry the title. This course gives them the knowledge and the evidence to back an EWRB application properly."
